Will Smith-Miami

I like the start of the video, the camera skills go from out side a trailer into a photo (coming to life) in a paper. A similar shot happens when the camera zooms out from the beach into the plan window, panning onto Will Smith's face. the camera and editing are used to create a 'jumping'(lots of quick cuts) showing progression in the story. the styling of the video is all very bright colours making it look rich and hollywood like. the setting of the video has wonderful weather, stylish buildings and beautiful people, this makes the star look wealthy and important.The camera takes lots of low angle shots and closeups of wills face to ethanize the importants of the star.

I really like the editing and camera work of this video, the quick zooming and the sleak chance of scene's makes the video smooth and enjoyable to watch.It shows clear steps in the video fitting with the narrative.

Christina Agularia- fighter

The first shot of this video is of a black moth, this contrast to the usual expectation of something pretty which highlights the dark meaning of the song. They also use this technique with the dancers, they are givin black out fits and crazy untidy hair, very unladylike.It is shot in a warn down, dark dirty building.Christina is placed in a box to dance to simbolise a trapped feeling, the camera ranges between high and low angle shots to show the ups and donws of status within the realtionship from the song.She smashes the box to show her breaking free from being controlled.She breaks free from the darkness, this is shown by her stripping her black clothes and hair to reveal white ones.

I like this video because it is very strong and interesting, it fits really well with the song and slgihtly outdoes the narrative by turning Christina's costume into a black widowspider.

Bassment Jaxx-do your thing

the bright colours used in this video shows the the audience the fun and vibrance of the band.All the lyrics are written on peoples clothes. The video ranges between quick cuts to show the right words, and the actors wondering through the scene at the right time.Peoples faces in the video arnt show to be very important, the camera is more focused on the words.Vibrant colours are warn throughout showing the energy of the band. They use a range of people for the video which means that it is appealing to all.the video uses the same footage in the courus using repetition.

I really like the colour and livelyness of this video, the editing have great timing and its interesting to watch

Rhianna-disturbia

The atmosphere beings being very dark and creepy, quick shots of tide up people and an old piano creates a creepy feel.There are shots of lots of different grusome and creepy characters.Lots of different shots of Rhianna in a range of outfits gives a confusing aspect.A cage is used in a scene to show intrapment. Darting shots and unfocued imagery help add to the atmoshpere,un-nerving/zombie dance routines are used.
I like this video because it is one of rihannas main ones that show her new strong style, it is very unusual.
Goodwins theory is shown in this video by the timing of actions fitting the music, this is clearly shown when Rihanna beats the fan in time with the beat.

pink- stupid girls

This video is filmed in high colours giving it an hollywood feel, which is were the location is ment to be( this is exagurated by the use of colour grading). Th video has lots of cuts in it as there are images that match most of the lyrics.This is shown clearly in one particular shot where the star'pink' is dressed up like a president.In another seen she is wearing revealing clothing that could be seen as demeaning, but from the lyrics it is clear it is a parady.This is the main reason i like this video, it doesnt take it's self seriously and also puts across a strong view about how girls act inaproprietly .The video includes a scene of the star plaing football in the mud, it makes a high contrast from the other scene and shows the stars beliefs. within the video there are many close ups of Pink's face which go's along with goodwins theory of:there is a demand for lots of closeups of the main artist. The video has been edited with lots of quick cuts between showing many different types of 'stupid girls' there are only a couple of cuts to show 'strong indpendent women'. They have done this to get the stars point across to how much of a problem there is.

Animation- little lion man- mumford and sons

By making this animation i have improved my editing skills by using different technique from the ones i used from my 'MC Hammer' non-animated music video. I have learnt how to take images from the internet, edit them in photoshop and then import them in to premier to create a video.I have learnt how to move images, control their scale and progression in a scene.

A2 mediastudies Music Video- MChammer-Can't touch this

In this project I learnt lots of different techniques at editing film including transition, effects, audio and creating different colours and contrasts. To create the different contrasts we doubled the images in layers and made one black and white and one colour, we then mixed the images together. For the video we included lots of different techniques that we have learnt to make the video interesting, also by including these it shows what we have learn't. I Learnt how to use different camera angle and shots effectively, and used a new tripod called a 'figrig'.During our video we used lots of low angle shots to show the artists in a high status.We also tried using close up of dances legs to enthazies the dance moves used and extreme close ups of peoples lips. At one point in the video we even rotated the camera round to add a new interesting effect. We used a graffiti background to relate to the original video. We wanted our video to be fun and comical while still including quality of a music video. We included dance steps from the original video and tried to create costumes approriate to the theme and genre. For the video we made lots of quick cuts to keep the pace of the video quick, like the song, this again was used regularly in the original.

For the video next year i plan to incorporate the skills i have learn't to create a quality music video.The skills and influences i use depend on the genre of the song and the artist that i work with.
